Hello,
my son is 8 months old and my first baby. For the past month or so, when I put him down for a nap, or bedtime, he rolls onto his side, grabs his crib bumper, and stuffs his face into it, falling asleep. I get so scared. When I see him doing this, I of course move him. But, sometimes when I go to check on him (which I almost do obsessively now, because I'm scared) he's back in the same position, with his face between the bumper and the mattress. When he very first started to turn from side to side, he slept in a cradle with bumpers, and I removed them for a week or so, because he was getting his face smooshed up against it, but he'd knock his head all the time, so I put them back, and then we got a crib. Also, he kicks ALL the time, getting his feet and legs stuck between the crib slats, so I'm not sure if removing the bumpers would be safe either. Help!
What should I do?
