Antique Austrian bentwood large cradle on stand with canopy
got a nice cradle, how long will it last? please help. pics included. baby on the way. want to know?
my grandmother bought me a nice antique looking dark brown wooden cradle. i love it its so pretty. it looks kinda like these pictures. but ten time better looking . i just want to know how long my baby will last in it. hes not born yet. but the doctor is predicting a 5 maybe 6 pound baby. so he wont be too big.i just want to know how many months will he probably be when he grows out of it.
I had one just like that for my daughter she slept in it until she was 6 or 7 months she was 6 1/2lbs when she was born.

My daughter was 7 lbs. 10 oz. when she was born and slept in a similar cradle until she was 4 months old. All three of my grandsons have used the cradle. The youngest is 17 years. I have sanded it down and refinished it and it looks brand new. I am looking forward to great-grandchildren sleeping in it.
